In early October, the City of Lewisburg, WV; Governor Jim Justice, Greenbrier County officials, and representatives from Chapman Technical Group kicked off a much-needed water system improvements project with a groundbreaking ceremony. 

Engineering, Artistry & Generosity Focus of Dedication in Ashland, KY

A dedication held January 3 along the Ohio River at the Port of Ashland, Ashland, KY, celebrated engineering, artistic ability, and generosity. The event focused on three bronze sculptures, which reportedly are among the largest of their type in the United States.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, recognized Chapman Technical Group and two other firms for their combined work on a project known as South Madison Branch - Guyandotte River Bridge, WV Route 10, Logan County.

Chapman Technical Group Garners WV-AIA Award

Chapman Technical Group renovated the West Virginia Division of Highways, District One State Road Commission Building, a 40,000 square-foot structure in Charleston's Warehouse District. The building now provides a secure, modern, office environment while maintaining the building's historical context. Chapman Technical Group's design work was recognized this spring during the West Virginia AIA's awards ceremony.

Chapman Technical Group received a Merit Award from the West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The 2016 AIA West Virginia Design Awards Gala and Scholarship Benefit was held in April at the West Virginia Culture Center. The design award recognized the renovation of the State Road Commission Building for the West Virginia Division of Highways District One.

GRW provided design services for the design-build delivery of the $196 million women's medium-security Federal Correctional Institution (shown above) and minimum-security Federal Prison Camp located near Aliceville, Alabama. This complex is the Federal Bureau of Prisons' first LEED Silver facility.

GRW provided A/E design services and managed the LEED documentation for the new LEED Silver-certified Ohio Army National Guard Joint Armed Forces Reserve Center (60,902 SF) and Field Maintenance Shop (24,963 SF) complex in Springfield, OH. The photo above shows the main entry space of the reserve center building, which serves both the Ohio Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves.
