GRW was one of five A/E team members chosen to design facilities for the relocation of the Illinois Air National Guard (ANG) from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to Scott Air Force Base.

Accomplished under tight time constraints to meet relocation deadlines, our team’s projects included:

  • 29,400 SF fuel cell hangar with AFFF/fire pump room
  • Substantial renovation of 71,200 SF general maintenance hangar with engine inspection and repair shop
  • Aerospace ground equipment shops and storage for inspection, maintenance, repair and servicing of all authorized powered aircraft support equipment
  • 46,202 SF general maintenance shops with avionics, engine repair, para-rescue and administrative areas
